Hello! im Benjamin Pilon:
Now i created Les Vagues Surf School to share my kindness and knowledges personally with everybody who's searching for guaranteed quality service, good base of theory, success, respect and security in surf education.
- was Vise Champion de France in surf,
- was 2 times Champion of Landes (South West France),
- was Sport Director of one of the most big surf club in France with more than 400 kids every year.
- grew up and learned to surf at the age of 6 on the beaches of Capbreton, Hossegor and Seignosse.
Now i created Les Vagues Surf School to share my kindness and knowledges personally with everybody who's searching for guaranteed quality service, good base of theory, success, respect and security in surf education.

We are focused on the success of our students.
We help those who are learning to stand on a board in foam, find balance on it and ride on the waves by their own wings.
We help intermediate and expert students to perform their skills and get as much help and information as possible to continue to progress and excel.

LES VAGUES SURF SCHOOL was created to help you practice surfing in a safe and enjoyable way for all levels.
OUR STRENGTHS
Individual approach to each student; groups are created depending on the level of surfing and age.
We have the best surf equipment on the market; it is updated annually and fits the level of each student.
We have 13 years of experience coaching the young hopefuls of French surfing federation as well as introducing surf to learners of all ages and surf levels.
Our experience allows students to stay in a comfortable and safe environment during training. Our goal is for students to be comfortable; we accompany them in the discovery of a new environment and warn of the dangers of the ocean during the practice of surfing. In addition, the cost of training includes all necessary insurance.
Our school is located on the beach of Notre Dame in Capbreton, where some of the most beautiful waves of Landes (South West France).
Surfing is an exciting, playful, fun water sport. Whether you want to be successful in it or just discover the sport on your holiday, it is paramount for us that you have a good time and practice with pleasure.

From 7 years old for surf group lessons, if the child swims well.
In general, it takes 2 hours per surf lesson, 15min to get equipped and walk to the wave, 1h30 of surf lessons and 15min to change.
Benjamin selects the best surf spot according to the level of training of the students and the sea conditions.

In Les Vagues Surf School we will learn you everything. No skill level is required. We give a complete theory, which is necessary so that you can then continue to practice on your own.
We will contact you the day before the session with the exact time and location of the training.
Yes, all the necessary surf equipment is provided: a surfboard and a surf suit adapted to your size.

You can contact us all year round by phone, email or on our website as well as Google Maps. We are open during hole year.
From April until the end of September you can find us at our Cabane on the Plage de Notre Dame in Capbreton.

Depending on the weather and ocean conditions, we agree on a meeting place on the beach where the session will take place. There you meet the surf instructor who will give you a wetsuit and a surfboard in the size you need. Then, with the group and the surfinstructor, you get closer to the water to listen to the theory and start your surfing practice, first on the sand, then in the water. After training, the wetsuits and boards are handed over to the trainer together. We sanitize and dry all costumes after each client.
After each lesson, we wash the surf suit in a basin of water mixed with a special disinfectant and dry it in the sun.
Notify by phone, sms or e-mail. Desirable maximum the day before the no-show day or earlier.
With a minimum notice of 2 days or if there is a document from a doctor, the cost of the lesson will be refunded within 15 days by bank transfer or cash.
